Youth Volleyball Programs

Developing players’ volleyball skills is our number one priority.

Youth VolleyballCAL Sports Academy’s youth volleyball programs feature innovative and progressive drills that meet the needs of the player. Our programs are designed for kids of all skill levels who are between the ages of 8 and 18 and allows players to mature from beginners to elite athletes. By providing 10 week, year-round, players become successful in volleyball performance. Learn how to serve, hit, set, passing, block, and more.

Beginner Volleyball

Our Beginner Volleyball programs provide boy and girl players, ages 8-14, the fundamentals of volleyball. We teach beginner players how to play, serve, hit, set, and pass. Our youth volleyball programs allow players to build confidence and strength. Players get to experience volleyball and see if it’s the sport for them! No experience is necessary.

Players are placed into small groups based on their skill level to give every youth volleyball player the attention they deserve.

Our Beginner Volleyball programs are:

  • Beginner Volleyball

Intermediate Volleyball

Our Intermediate Volleyball programs are designed for boy and girl players, ages 10-18, who want to improve their skills. Coaches teach the key fundamentals of passing, setting, hitting, serving, bumping, and hit team offense. Skill drills and scrimmages are used so each player can practice in game-like situations, solidifying those skills, ultimately building confidence.

Player Expectations:

  • Must have a foundation in volleyball.
  • The ability to set the ball.
  • The ability to serve the ball over the net.

Players are placed into small groups based on their skill level to give every youth volleyball player the attention they deserve.

Our Intermediate Volleyball programs are:

Advanced Volleyball

Our Advanced Volleyball programs are for boy and girl players, ages 10-18, who want to take their volleyball skills to the next level. We teach defense, rotation patterns, positions and responsibilities, high level hitting, setting, blocking, and serving. Dedication and commitment to hard work is a must in our Advanced Volleyball programs.

Player Expectations:

  • Must have a foundation in volleyball.
  • The ability to set the ball.
  • The ability to serve the ball over the net.

Players are placed into small groups based on their skill level to give every youth volleyball player the attention they deserve.

Our Advanced Volleyball programs are:

Volleyball Clinics

Our Youth Volleyball Clinics allow boy and girl players to explore specialty areas that enhances their skill sets. We achieve player goals by strengthening confidence on, and off, the court.

Volleyball Open Gyms

Have you learned the skills and fundamentals of volleyball? Need somewhere to test these skills? Come participate in our Volleyball Open Gyms to scrimmage and utilize what you’ve learned in real, game-like situations. Our Volleyball Open Gyms give boys and girls of all skill levels, ages 12-18, the ability to become confident youth athletes. Pull your knee pads up and come enjoy some volleyball fun!

Volleyball Open Gyms include:

  • Game play against athletes of all skill levels.
  • Coaches will referee to ensure players are receiving the most out of their experience.
  • Teams will be based on the number of players and skill levels. Team formats may include doubles, quads, or 6 vs 6.
  • Game format may vary based on the number of players.

Private Training: Volleyball

Individual Private Training

Individual Training focuses on the goals and objectives players want to accomplish within a certain time frame. We offer training in basketball, volleyball, soccer, strength and conditioning, and speed and agility. Goals and objectives are set at the beginning of each training session by both the player and coach. We push our players to their maximum capacity to produce results. By the end of the set time frame, players feel more confident to perform at their complete best to take him or her to the next level.

Half Hour Rates:

  • 1 session: $50
  • 5 sessions: $225  SAVE $25!
  • 10 sessions: $400  SAVE $100!

One Hour Rate:

  • 1 session: $100
  • 5 sessions: $450  SAVE $50!
  • 10 sessions: $800  SAVE $200!

Small Group Private Training

Small Group Training allows players to train together on skills they need to improve as a team and gain success in the game. Training is tailored to meet the goals and needs of the small group. We offer training in basketball, volleyball, soccer, strength and conditioning, and speed and agility. We push our players to their maximum capacity to produce results. By the end of the training session, players feel more confident to perform at their complete best to take him, or her, to the next level.

Group Training Rates:

  • $35 per player

Volleyball Leagues

Our Volleyball Leagues offer girl players, ages 10-16, the opportunity to develop their skills through a creative, challenging, and competitive program all year around. Players sharpen their serving, passing, setting, hitting, and blocking skills while building confidence on the court through weekly drills and games. Our program fosters teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline as well as, a better understanding of effective offensive and defensive game play in a fun and nurturing environment. All youth volleyball players are evaluated during the first week and placed into well balanced teams. Requests for team placement are not guaranteed.

Our Club Volleyball Travel Team creates additional opportunities for girls, ages 12-18, who are committed to playing competitive volleyball all year around.

Volleyball: School's Out

Volleyball School’s Out is for players, in grades 5-12, who are looking for something to do on their day off from school.  Participants are grouped by skill and age to maximize the opportunity to develop individual player skills.

School’s Out will: improve players game play, strengthen their skills, boost their confidence, and create new friendships by playing competitive games and having fun!

Our School’s Out programs are:

  • Volleyball
  • Multisport
  • Elite Fitness
